The film '1977' produced by Saratkumar on his own banner with himself playing hero, has two female leads. Of them, the oomph girl Namitha is playing the role of a lawyer, while Farjana is donning the character of a journalist.
Giving details of the film, Saratkumar says, 'I have several films in the combination of Namitha in my career. Though she is playing the role of an advocate in this film, she also had a lot of choice to fill the glamour slot. We are making efforts to release the film not only in Telugu and Tamil languages, we have plans to dub them in some foreign languages too. Presently post-production works are in progress.
There is a speciality for our film '1977'. MG Ramachandran took over the reins of the State as chief minister in 1977. However, the film has no political backdrop. Three fourths of the film was shot in Malaysia. The government and police cooperated with us well there. I will appear in six different get-ups in the movie.'
