Namitha Policy after New Release

Namitha has the habit of venting her sad feelings on her films after the release through SMS to the concerned directors. She has sent lot of such messages to the directors.

But she moves with the directors in a friendly manner when she meets them in person, as if nothing of that sort had happened.

She also makes it a point to attend the promotional programmes for her movies conducted by the TV channels. She doesn’t believe in just looking ahead not caring about her latest releases.

Actor Namitha Launches an Electric Scooter at the Bikex Two-Wheeler Exhibition

Namitha unveils latest model electric scooter “Electric scooters are the way of the future”

CHENNAI: Not just shiny new bikes, but plenty of new alternatives seemed to be the theme of the second international Bikex India two-wheeler exhibition that opened at the Chennai Trade Centre here on Friday.

Anil K Baali, director of Sunstar Expositions, organisers of the event, said that the idea behind the exhibition was to create a niche exhibition market for bikes alone. “Generally, if bikes are placed beside cars at an automobile exhibition, they lose out on attention. We thought we should create a forum exclusively for bikes,” he said. According to him, the export market for Indian bikes was poor. “We feel that through exhibitions such as these, we can promote the export market of local bikes,” he said.

Apache bikes at the TVS stall staked their claim to the limelight, while a little further away Barbie and Walt Disney cycles for children drew a lot of attention.

Actor Namitha was present to add glitz and glamour. She unveiled the latest model electric scooter brought out by Chennai-based firm Vijaya Value Electric. Hero Ultra also launched its range of electric scooters with its own brand of excitement with dance and light shows.

Director (Marketing) of Ultra Motors Deba Ghosal said the Hero Ultra electrical scooters were a joint venture between Hero Exports, an arm of Hero Cycles, and UK-based Ultra Motor Company.

“We have recently made our entry into the South Indian market and this is an opportunity to showcase our products to potential trade partners as well as customers,” Mr. Ghosal said.

The electric scooters of both companies were available for test drives and claimed to be able to do 75 kilometres on a single charge which would take around four to six hours. Managing Director of Vijaya Value Electric said: “The scooters are a good option if you are not looking for speed. The bikes are almost maintenance free and extremely cost effective. They are the way of the future.”

The exhibition is on till Sunday.

Namitha Hopes on Billa

Namitha pinned a lot of hopes on Azhagiya Thamizh Magan. Unfortunately it turned out to be a disappointing outing for she had very little to do on the screen in ATM. However she is hopeful that Billa would make amends.

A remake of yesteryear Rajinikanth classic, Billa features Ajith, Nayantara and Namitha in lead roles.

According to Namitha, "director Vishnuvardhan has shot the movie is a stylish manner. To share the screen with Ajith was a delight. It is a trendy and chic film and is sure to make it big".

Namitha is currently in Switzerland shooting for a Kannada movie. She would be off to America in a week to spend her vacation.
