Namitha Molested by Mob !

Namitha was mobbed on Sunday while she was taking part in a private function, a textile showroom launch, in Pudukottai near Trichy. She was surrounded by her avid fans who want to get a closer look and touch their heartthrob. It has been reported that some of them manhandled the actress, which caused her minor injuries.

As the actress was mobbed by her wild fans, she cried out for help. Since the organizers were unable to control the crowd, the local police immediately rushed to the spot and used mild lathi charge to disperse the crowd.

A relieved Namitha was rescued from the podium, and later she inaugurated the showroom. After that, she was sent back to her hotel to take rest.

Earlier, many leading actresses, including Jyothika, have had similar harrowing experiences while participating in private functions.

Namitha desperate to get some roles

Namitha lost many heroine roles in the past due to her overweight. Now she has lost some weight and is back in Hyderabad hoping to get some roles.

She is said to have approached many producers and even heroes and asked them to give her a role. She even approached Venkatesh and begged him to pair her against him in his next movie. She was offered a aunty kind of role by a director, which made her utterly disappointed. Sources say she was very much disappointed for that kind of offer and left the place. She said she would only accept heroine offers and would never accept any aunty kind of roles.

According to them she also said if necessary she would end her career as a heroine rather than playing middle-aged woman characters. Let’s hope she would lose some more weight and get a nice figure and continue acting as a heroine.

Namitha refuses to go nude for English Film

It is well known that Namitha is the hottest heroine in the Indian Film Industry. But her hottest film yet is not so well known. That’s probably because its not yet completed and there's a reason why. The name of the English film in question is Maaya. The film required the actress to play a role of a prostitute. Being a provocative role, the actress was assumingly expected to expect atleast 90% of her role to be in the nude.

When initially approached with the first few scenes she reluctantly did them without a complaint. After a while, she stopped attending the films shooting schedules. The films director then approached her for the completion of the shooting of the film. Namitha refused to act in the film because her role in the film was just too obscene to portray. She asked for her scenes from the film to be removed.
The director refuses the proposal and demanded that she fulfill her contractual obligations. Namitha reluctant to budge has made it clear that she will not be a part of the film. She even informed the Film Artist Union of her decision. But her fans are now in a dilemma. After having heard that she played a role that had 90% nudity involved, her fans are very eager to see what the final version of the film will look like.

Namitha returning to Kannada cinema

You can't stop Namitha mania, especially in South India. She knows exactly how to make the guys feel weak in the knees. This makes her a rage amongst the film lovers. Now, she is all set to heat up Kannada film buffs once again.

Yes, Namitha is returning to Kannada cinema - hotter than ever before, having shed 10 kgs. She stole the hearts of the Kannada film lovers through her hot performance in Neelakanta, which had Ravichandran in the lead role. Her 'dare-bare' attitude has made her a huge hit. Now, she is going to act opposite Darshan in a new film titled Indra to be directed by H. Vasu.

Model Shubra Iyappa was supposed to play the lead role in this film but her unprofessional attitude has forced the makers of the film to show her the doors. So, Namitha has been roped in to enthrall Kannada film buffs. This will be a treat indeed!

Namitha's manager gives Simbu hard time

As an old Tamil proverb goes - 'Saami Varam koduthaalum poosaari kurukke nipparu'. The meaning of it is that it's easy to get God's blessing but the pundits make it impossible. This is often the rant of producers trying to get across to actors and actresses. Simbu has recently had a reason to quote the proverb when he tried contacting Namitha.

He has booked Namitha for the role in his film Kettavan. But her manager was a problem because she gave the same dates to other producers. He already got Mandira Bedi to act in his film and also got her dates. She is known to enjoy a good relationship with the actor ever since she acted in Manmadhan. She gave the actor no problem as far as her availability for the film shooting was concerned.

Now, it is the question of the second lead actress in the film. Simbu was ready to twist the story of the film to include Mandira Bedi in some way or the other - but only as long as he had the second lead role settled upon. Apart from Namitha, Sherin is also a contender for the role. She had approached the actor and asked for the role in the film promising to really show off her talents and assets.

But Namitha took quick action, not wanting to lose out on a good chance, and apologized on behalf of her manager. Does that mean that Namitha is indeed acting in the said role in the film? Only Simbu can tell us now.
